Kiera Powers, Club Director, 13Green Coach
My name is Kiera, and coaching volleyball is my passion. Growing up, I faced challenges with self-esteem and confidence, but volleyball helped me find my voice. Through the sport, I learned to navigate conflicts, embrace my true self, accept mistakes, and advocate for myself constructively. These are the invaluable skills I aim to impart to every young athlete.
I believe that every young athlete deserves the chance to participate in volleyball, regardless of their skill level. At SLVC, we pride ourselves on our honesty, integrity, and the foundation of trust and kindness we build upon. If you are seeking a club that embodies these values, then SLVC is the right place for you. If your current club does not provide these, we welcome you to join us.
We are excited and honored to work with your athletes!
Christina Pazzi, 13Black Coach
Hi, I’m Christina! Volleyball has been a lifelong passion of mine—I’ve been playing for nearly 23 years, starting as a kid and diving into sand volleyball for the past 12. I live in Murray, UT, where I’m a proud mom of two amazing boys—one of whom shares my love for the game and plays club volleyball.
What fuels me most is the joy of teaching fundamentals and watching young athletes grow. I’ve found an incredible volleyball community here in Salt Lake, filled with friendships, support, and shared passion. Being part of this network has been a gift, and I’m thrilled to help the next generation of players build their own connections and confidence through the sport.
I’m deeply committed to helping athletes develop their skills and reach new levels in their game. Every player brings something unique to the court, and I look forward to both teaching and learning from each one this season.
Let’s make it a great year!
brittany harney, 15Blue co-Coach
Volleyball has been a part of my life since I was 12 years old, and while the game has evolved over the years, my passion for it has only grown stronger! After moving from Arizona back to Utah, I’ve spent the past four years coaching and have loved every minute of it — from helping athletes master fundamentals to watching their confidence and teamwork take off.
I’ve had the privilege of coaching both boys and girls teams at the club level, and I’m thrilled to be returning to Salt Lake Volleyball Club for my second season! I can’t wait to hit the court, push our limits, and build another unforgettable season of growth, grit, and great volleyball!
dalee mottahedeh, 15Blue co-coach
Hi! I’m Coach Dalee. A little bit about me. I am from Florida. I am 21 years old. I am married to my amazing husband and we have the cutest little baby. I played volleyball all throughout Middle School and High School and I am absolutely in love with this sport. I have experience playing indoor, beach/sand ball, and I played a season of intramural volleyball when I was in college. This will be my 3rd season coaching with SLVC.
I believe there are so many things you learn in volleyball that can be applied to real life. For me, it has taught me how to work and communicate with others, keep a positive attitude when things are hard, and how much hard work pays off. All the skills the players will learn are important. They will become stronger mentally and physically but I think the most important things is for them to have a good time and have fun. I absolutely love coaching and watching my players improve and thrive! So excited for this season!!
Arianna Ninham, 12Orange Coach
Hi, my name is Arianna! This will be my first season with SLVC and I couldn’t be more excited! I have coaching experience with clubs in Minnesota where I grew up, and moved to the SLC area this year. I have been playing volleyball since 6th grade, along with countless summer camps throughout the years, club seasons, and added college experience. I am lucky to still play in adult tournaments such as indoor, sand, and grass.
I fell in love with volleyball growing up because of the boost in self-esteem and that it became a healthy outlet for me. I was very fortunate to have had great mentors and coaches that pushed me to be the best I can be while still loving the sport. It translated into life lessons that I still carry with me-discipline in myself, positive mindset, communication, and the ability to work well with others. I am excited to coach and share my love for the game!
courtney young - Training Team
Hi I am Courtney! I am very excited to be joining Salt Lake Volleyball Club for my third season!
I have been playing volleyball since I was 11. I fell in love with volleyball watching my dad play and passing after the games with him. After that I was hooked on playing indoor. During high school, I played outside hitter. My senior year, we won the 3A state championship!!! All throughout high school I played club and loved traveling to different tournaments in and out of the state. After high school, I transitioned to play college volleyball for two years where I played libero (which is my favorite position). To this day I continue to play volleyball, whether it be grass or sand. I still have the passion (even though my body may not like it) and would love to pass that passion along to others this club season!
